Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson tries to avoid Buffalo Bills cornerback Dorian Strong and cornerback Taron Johnson after picking up a couple yards on the carry during first half action against the Baltimore Ravens at Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park on Sept. 7, 2025. | USA TODAY Network via Reuters Co Jeremy Reisman Sun, November 1, 2026 at 1:30 PM UTC · 2 min read About Our Ads Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement Week 8 is upon us, and it unfortunately started with yet another win from an NFC North team. The Green Bay Packers disposed of the Carolina Panthers to move to 5-3 on the season, somehow squeezing the NFC North standings even tighter. But there will undoubtedly be even more movement in the division when the Minnesota Vikings and Detroit Lions face off in the 1 p.m. ET timeslot Sunday afternoon.
That is far from the only remaining interesting matchup of Week 8. There's a ton of them. Also at the 1 p.m. ET window is Ravens vs. Bills in a big AFC showdown that features Lamar Jackson's return from injury. Additionally, Browns vs. Steelers is a shockingly important matchup, as the two teams share the division lead at 5-2. In another important divisional game, the NFC South has a big one in Falcons vs. Buccaneers.
The late-afternoon window is comprised of just three games: Chargers vs. Rams in the battle for Los Angeles, Chiefs vs. Broncos in a big AFC West game, and Patriots vs. Dolphins.
Sunday closes with a very sad NFC East game between the Eagles and Commanders, but the schedule makers are giving us a big Monday night game between the Bears and Seahawks.
